For the Freshman

Most of us will be going back to school soon. Some of you will be going to a college or university for the first time. Here is a list of tips so you an make the most out of your freshman year experience.

1. Yes, have fun and party but DONT forget about your grades. Just like in high school, your freshman year GPA sets the tone for the next 3. 

2. find a small group of good friends. keep your circle tight. lots of things happen at college and you will need people who always have your back. 

3. spend your flex wisely bcuz its gone b4 you know it lol. not just your flex though all money. college is expensive so budget wisely. 

4.  Watch what you eat. The college diet of fast food is no joke. Beware of the pounds you may put on. Stay active

5. make the most out of your experience. don't just sit in your dorm. participate in campus activities, go to sporting events and be involved.

PRETTY LITTLE LIARS

The Pretty Little Liars show has taken the nation by storm but did you know it started as a book series?  I actually read the books and I think the show couldn't be better. The acting is great and it is just as suspenseful as turning pages. I would spoil the end but I'm a nice person . Just know its full of surprises and secrets. If you like the show, read the books while the television was on break. You will not be dissapointed.

When I listen to this song, my mind automatically went to the club scene.  The beat just makes me want to dance and Lil Jon brought crunk to the next level. Nicki Minaj emerged on the hip hop scene with a sexy style and quirky hair. Her style power was so great she has tons of young ladies or as some people know them Barbies who attempt to dress like her. Many of these attempts look ridiculous. People try to hard and copy Nicki's exact style. Style Star

Ludacris is clearly one of the most stylish men in the Hip Hop industry.  I never thought I would utter those words.  When the rapper first came on the scene in 2000 with his platinum selling CD Back for the First Time, his look was his own. Wild Afro's, graffiti shirts, pinky rings, huge chains and untamed facial hair were all apart of his swag.  In recent years however, Ludacris has transformed into a well kept grown man. He ditched the tall tee's and big chains for suits and ties. The most dramatic change was his hair. The out of this world afro was cut down to a classic fade and the side burns disappeared. Overall, I think this was the best move Ludacris could have made. The more polished look reads "Grown Man Artist" and the old look reads "Carpet Kid Rapper". What do you think ?

New Song of the Week

New song of the week is Maybach Music III by Rick Ross featuring T.I., Jadakiss & Erykah Badu. The "Teflon Don" set the bar high with this track.  This is a follow up to Rick Ross' previous Maybach Music I & II. The beat of this song captivates any listener with its classic sound. The song also features eccentric songstress Erykah Badu singing the hook, with her raspy style harmonizing over the remarkable beat. Overall the beat gives the song a unique identity and the artists featured on it all shine individually. Two thumbs up for this one Mr. Rozay !

Beyonce is one of the most successful women in entertainment today. She has many hit records, a few hit movies and is married to one of hip-hops big timers , Jay Z. With all of this going on Beyonce has killer style and many people attempt to create versions of her outfits. I  know many Beyonce fan's and I also no many people who try to channel her style. Real Hair VS Fake Hair

There have been many arguments lately on the topic of Real Hair VS. Fake Hair. People on team Real Hair think hair weaves and extensions are for people who can't look good without it or for fake people. People on team Fake Hair believe that there is nothing wrong with enhancing one's look and love the versatility of weave. I am for both teams. Wearing weave and extensions is okay in my book. I do not believe it makes a girl "fake" or entitle someone as having low self esteem. When I wear a hair weave it is not to enhance my self esteem levels but to simply change my look. If I have hair to my shoulders and I want to go short for a week, a hair weave or wig is the perfect solution. Also if I have short hair but one day want to rock a ponytail, that's what extensions were invented for. My views that put me on Team Real Hair are very simple. I think weave should not be used to change a person's whole identity, because this would be fake. I also think that people who wear a hair weave everyday of every week should wear their real hair for  few days and give it some time to breath. What do you think? Should a women be frowned upon for wearing hair that is not hers?

I have been using this product for only three weeks and I can already tell a difference. My hair is shinier and  softer. The only down side of this product is the smell is a little tart. I combat the smell by adding a squirt of suave conditioner wild strawberry scent to the hair mayonnaise. This adds a lighter fruity smell to the harsh smell of eggs and oils. Overall I would recommend this product to anyone, especially someone who uses a relaxer. Organic Root Stimulator does wonders for processed hair. 

RED HED RIHANNA ?

        As we all know, Rihanna is famous for music, her relationship with r&b singer Chris Brown, but more importantly her erratic hair styles. She has went from long golden brown curls, to short black bob, to spiky black mohawk and many more. Now the eccentric songstress has a fire red hair cut that involves a shaved scalp. Many people have expressed their feelings of dislike for this new style. I think its not the prettiest hair style she could have came up with but its her head and not mine! What do you think ?
